Golden Plains Shire Council welcomes a funding announcement from the Australian Labor Party (ALP) of $700,000 towards the $1.4 million Inverleigh Active Youth Space project.

The commitment was announced by Federal Member for Corangamite Libby Coker on Sunday 15 May and will be delivered if the ALP wins the Federal Election on 21 May.

On 5 May, Liberal Party Candidate Stephanie Asher announced $700,000 towards the $1.4 million Inverleigh Active Youth Space project, if the Coalition wins the Federal Election on 21 May.

The Inverleigh Active Youth Space is a community-driven $1.4 million project to deliver new bike tracks, an upgraded skate park, a social basketball court and associated works including carparks, seating and landscaping in Inverleigh. Co-located with the Yerram Yaluk Bun playspace, the project will increase opportunities for young people to be physically active, build social connections and encourage positive behaviours.
