Golden Plains Shire Council welcomes an upgraded funding announcement from the Australian Labor Party (ALP) of $690,000 towards the $1.4 million netball pavilion at Victoria Park in Bannockburn.

The upgraded commitment was announced by Federal Member for Corangamite Libby Coker on Friday 22 April and will be delivered if the ALP wins the Federal Election on 21 May.

This promise builds upon the original announcement by Federal Member for Corangamite Libby Coker and Deputy Leader of the ALP and Federal Member for Corio Richard Marles for $350,000 to upgrade the change rooms at Victoria Park, which was made on 11 April, 2022.

On 12 April, Liberal Party Candidate Stephanie Asher announced $690,000 towards the $1.4 million netball pavilion at Victoria Park, if the Coalition wins the Federal Election on 21 May.

The$1.4 million netball pavilion project includes female friendly change rooms, a social indoor space, public toilets, team and umpire change rooms, first aid and office areas. The pavilion will support current and future participation at the growing netball club, meeting demand in Bannockburn and surrounding towns of Golden Plains Shire.
