Golden Plains Shire Council welcomes a funding announcement from the Australian Labor Party (ALP) of $350,000 to upgrade the change rooms at Victoria Park in Bannockburn.

The funding was announced by Federal Member for Corangamite Libby Coker and Deputy Leader of the ALP and Federal Member for Corio Richard Marles at Victoria Park, Bannockburn on Monday 11 April, 2022.

If the ALP wins the Federal Election on 21 May, it will deliver this $350,000 commitment to upgrade the change rooms. As detailed in the announcement media release, it will “make Bannockburn Football & Netball Club accessible to all their players and officials with key upgrades to the club’s female change rooms.”

Council will continue to lobby State and Federal Governments for funding to deliver the new netball pavilion including female friendly change rooms at Victoria Park, Bannockburn. This $1.4 million priority project will support current and future participation at the growing netball club, with the proposed facility including a social indoor space, public toilets, team and umpire change rooms, first aid and office areas.
