It has come to our attention that there was an error in the Municipal Association of Victoria (MAV) information that we included on the reverse of our ‘Your rates explained’ brochure, which was included with the recent Rate notices.
The MAV flyer stated the rate cap to be ‘3.83%’ where in fact it is 2.5%. Council would like apologise for this error and would like to reassure our ratepayers that there is no issue with the rates notices themselves.
Council met the 2.5% rate cap for the 2016-17 Budget, as promised to residents.
Council has alerted the MAV to the error and apologises again for any inconvenience caused.
