Draft Budget 2023/24 Moves to Final Phase

Budget Closes

Golden Plains Shire Council noted submissions to its Draft Budget 2023/24 at a special meeting at Golden Plains Civic Centre last night.

Following a period of public exhibition from 26 April to 29 May, Council formally received and noted four written submissions which will be considered prior to the adoption of the Budget 2023/24 later this month.

Mayor Cr Brett Cunningham said community feedback was an integral part of Draft Budget preparations.

The Budget is one of the most important processes we complete as a local government organisation, and I’d like to thank the community for their feedback throughout our Draft Budget journey.

Council encourages Golden Plains Shire residents to take the opportunity to actively engage in the Budget process, and we will continue to provide engagement opportunities for people to have their say on future Budgets.

Council’s Finance team will now make final amendments and updates to the Draft Budget 2023/24 before it is presented to Councillors for adoption at the Council meeting on 27 June 2023.
