Golden Plains Shire Council is inviting Expressions of Interest (EOI) for six suitably qualified creative practitioners interested in conducting teaching workshops at the Bannockburn Library beginning in January and throughout 2024.

The Arts Workshop Series is a continuation of the successful pilot series held in 2023 with six workshops held in the Bannockburn Library space by local artists.

Formal art qualifications are not compulsory however applicants need to show evidence of previous work processes that are transferable to a general audience. Preferences will be given to: innovative practices that offer new experiences to the community, workshops suitable for library spaces and workshops catering for 10 to 12 people.

Golden Plains Shire Council Mayor Cr Brett Cunningham encouraged interested artists to submit an EOI and share their art skills with the community.

“The first round of workshops in 2023 were a great success and we’re excited to give this opportunity to more local artists to share their expertise and engage with the local community,” Cr Cunningham said.

“Golden Plains Shire is really lucky to have such a vibrant and creative arts community, and we’re proud to partner with Geelong Regional Libraries to bring these workshops to community members.”

Expressions of Interest will be open until Monday 27 November and can be made by emailing [email protected]. For further information, visit goldenplains.vic.gov.au/consultations or call 5220 7111.

The Arts Workshop Series is a Golden Plains Shire Council and Geelong Regional Libraries Corporation initiative.
