As Victoria reaches the next step in reopening and easing restrictions, the Victorian Government will require proof of vaccination to enter businesses and venues, including Council’s Customer Service Centres.

In line with this requirement, from 6pm tonight, Friday 29 October, all visitors to the Bannockburn or Smythesdale Customer Service Centre must show proof of vaccination or an eligible proof of exemption.

On arrival to a Customer Service Centre, community members will need to ring the doorbell and wait for a Customer Service team member to meet them at the door. They will then need to show the staff member:

  • check-in confirmation screen with linked COVID-19 digital certificate,
  • COVID-19 digital certificate on their smartphone wallet,
  • paper-copy of their Immunisation History Statement,
  • or an eligible proof of exemption.

Under this COVIDSafe requirement, community members who are not yet fully vaccinated and do not have an eligible exemption will be unable to attend a Customer Service Centre for the current time. Community members are still able to contact the Customer Service team remotely by:
