The Rokewood Resource Recovery Centre is open and able to help residents get prepared for the warmer months ahead.
The transfer station is able to accept a wide variety of waste ranging from a singled axle trailer cage worth of household waste for $66 or scrap metal, vehicle batteries and much more for free.
The Rokewood Resource Recovery Centre at 141 Meadows Road is open from 10am to 3pm, every Sunday – except for Code Red, Total Fire Ban Days or during COVID-19 lockdowns.
The centre accepts household waste, e-waste, green and timber waste, mattresses, tyres, recyclables, scrap metal, motor oil, vehicle batteries, gas cylinders and fire extinguisher - and fridges, freezes and air conditioners.
When visiting the transfer station, customers are strongly encouraged to pay by card and practice social distancing measures, however cash is still accepted.
For a full list of accepted items and cost of disposal, please visit the Rokewood Resource Recovery Centre page on Council's website.
