Council Listening Posts Get Underway

Council listening posts
News

Golden Plains Shire residents are invited to take the opportunity to talk to their local Councillors about what matters to them and their community as Council’s Listening Posts program gets underway for 2023. Residents will have the opportunity to speak directly with Councillors and share their views on the issues that matter to them.

Mayor Cr Brett Cunningham says Councillors want the opportunity to continue to engage with residents on local issues to get a better understanding of the things that matter to them in the community.

Council wants to ensure we are providing the right services that support the communities needs. It is also a great opportunity for us to update the community on Council projects, decisions and activities throughout the year.

Council’s whole-of-council commitment to engaging with the community is about encouraging the community to share their ideas and concerns in their local areas. We love getting out and speaking with people through productive and inclusive conversations.

I encourage the community to drop-in to the Council Listening Posts and come and chat with myself and my fellow Councillors about any topic on their minds.”
