Linton

The playground at Linton Recreation Reserve, Glenelg Highway will be closed from Tuesday 26 April, with a brand-new playground scheduled for opening in mid-June, 2022.

The replacement works will include the removal of the current playground equipment and installation of new equipment, including a swing set, multiple combo units, climbing frame and natural play elements. New soft-fall material and perimeter edging will also be installed.

The project is part of Council’s Playground Upgrade Program which saw playgrounds in Garibaldi, Haddon, Dereel, Enfield and Rokewood upgraded in 2021.

While the playground site is closed in Linton, residents are encouraged to visit the playgrounds at Scarsdale Community Park, Smythesdale Recreation Reserve or Cape Clear and District Lions Park.

While works are undertaken, residents are encouraged to visit neighbouring playgrounds including:

  • Scarsdale Community Park, Pittfield-Scarsdale Road – 8 minutes by car
  • Smythesdale Recreation Reserve, 35 Garden Street – 12 minutes by car
  • Cape Clear and District Lions Park, 1461 Pitfield-Scarsdale Road – 13 minutes by car

Council appreciates the community’s understanding and patience while these replacement works are completed.
