Golden Plains Shire Council will be hosting its annual Business and Community Networking Lunch on Thursday 22 June with guest speaker Holly Bailey, Founder of ‘Play Like a Girl’ Australia

Holly Bailey is a trailblazing force in the world of sports and gender equality, as well as a wellness champion, former VFLW player, Harvard graduate and founder of ground-breaking Australian business, ‘Play Like a Girl’ Australia.

‘Play Like a Girl’ Australia is an organisation dedicated to empowering girls and women through sports, with their mission to break down the barriers that prevent females from staying, playing and leading in sports and to provide them with the tools and resources they need to win.

Holly will speak about a range of topics including powering the next generation of female leaders in sport, unlocking female leadership through sport and breaking barriers for women in business and leadership.

Golden Plains Shire Council Mayor Cr Brett Cunningham is thrilled the Business and Community Networking lunch is returning in 2023.

The lunch provides a wonderful opportunity for the Shire’s many small, medium or large local businesses to connect with their peers and strengthen professional friendships.

We are excited to welcome Holly as a guest speaker for this event, who’s passion and commitment to gender equality has been an inspirational force in building her successful business.

Council invites local businesses – small, medium, or large – to attend the lunch on Thursday 22 June from 11.45am to 2.30pm at Clyde Park Vineyard and Bistro, 2490 Midland Highway, Bannockburn.

Tickets are $65 per person and include a two-course meal. To purchase tickets for the Business and Community Networking Lunch, please visit goldenplains.vic.gov.au/events.
