Business Networking Events Return to Golden Plains

Business Networking Events
Business & Economic Development

Golden Plains Shire Council is delighted to announce the return of its Business Networking Events after what has been an extremely challenging couple of years for the Golden Plains business community.

Council's Economic Development team invites local businesses – small, medium, or large – to attend one of the two events, to be held on Thursday 23 June in Nintingbool and Wednesday 29 June in Bannockburn.

The Business Networking Lunch on Wednesday 29 June will be hosted at Clyde Park Vineyard and Bistro from 12 to 2:30pm with guest speaker, Rachael Robertson.

Rachael has 20 years of leadership experience, holds an MBA, and has worked with more than 1,500 organisations around the world. Rachael will draw on her experience as the second female to lead an expedition at the Australian base in Antarctica, to present on how change is the new business as usual.

Rachael will outline powerful techniques to build an organisation that thrives on change and will provide the tools people can use as soon they get back to their desk, to build teams that anticipate, prepare and lead themselves through change.

The Business Networking Night on Thursday 23 June will be hosted at Nintingbool Winery from 5:30 to 7:30pm. At this event, Council’s Coordinator Economic Development, Peter Ridsdale, will share tips with business owners on how to expand and thrive following COVID and share stories of businesses experience with COVID-related challenges.

Peter will also provide an overview of Council’s Economic Development, Tourism and Investment Attraction (EDTIA) 2022-2032 Strategy, share a summary of the business support initiatives delivered over the past 15 months in partnership with the State Government, and discuss how business networking can help build strength and resilience in business.

Golden Plains Shire Council Mayor Cr Gavin Gamble says the Business Networking Events are a fantastic opportunity for the Golden Plains business community to come together after the past few years.

The return of the Business Networking Events marks an exciting milestone for the business community in Golden Plains. Our local businesses are key drivers of the local economy in Golden Plains, and we are proud to support all businesses in the Shire across a range of industries.

The Business Networking Events provide a wonderful opportunity for our many small and local businesses to connect with their peers to gain valuable business support and strengthen professional friendships.
