Beyond the Valley Music Festival will be held at Barunah Plains in Hesse from Thursday 28 December 2023 to Monday 1 January 2024. Residents may experience noise and traffic congestion on these days.
As part of the festival, certain local roadways will be closed to non-local traffic. Residents who require access via these closures will be issued vehicle passes for transition through any road closure quickly and seamlessly.
Nearby residents surrounding the event site can call 0455 477 967 if they have any questions, concerns or would like to speak with someone while the festival is on.
This number will be attended 24 hours a day during the event with measures in place to assist residents with any concerns.
Traffic Management Plan
Vehicles departing the site will utilise the same vehicle accesses provided during operation. The majority of vehicles departing the site are expected to travel east (i.e. Melbourne and Geelong). In order to distribute the eastbound traffic on the road network it is proposed to provide three access routes as follows:
- Route A: Some vehicles departing Wentworths Road would be directed to Hamilton Highway and would travel through Inverleigh;
- Route B: In the event of traffic build-up on Wentworths Road, at the discretion of Council and Victoria Police, vehicles are to be directed to the north via Cressy-Shelford Road until such time as the traffic has subsided; and
- Route C: Some vehicles utilising the other access locations would be directed west on Hamilton Highway and south on Wingeel Road via Winchelsea to prevent U-turn movements.
