Media Release

Applications for the 2023 Berrybank Wind Farm Community Grants Program will be open from Thursday 1 June until 2pm, Friday 30 June

Delivered in partnership with Berrybank Development Pty Ltd, the Berrybank Wind Farm Community Grants Program provides funding opportunities for community to support local community, business and tourism events and projects in Golden Plains Shire.

Community and business groups or organisations are eligible to apply for grant funding in two categories:

  • Economic Development and Tourism projects and events
  • Community projects and events (over $10,000)

Groups must match the amount of funding sought to a maximum of $10,000, either in cash or through in-kind contributions, such as volunteer support. Multi-year funding may be granted for both categories.

Golden Plains Shire Mayor Cr Brett Cunningham said the Berrybank Wind Farm Community Grants program provided an opportunity to support local groups who play a pivotal role in strengthening community inclusion.

The Berrybank Wind Farm Community Grants Program is a great way for community and business groups to access funding which will help them realise their project goals and contribute to creating a vibrant and thriving community.

We encourage groups in our community who have an idea for a project or business and tourism event, to submit an application for consideration.

Council also strongly encourages potential applicants to contact Council's Community Development and Grants Officer to discuss their application before applying for a grant, to help ensure all requirements are met.
