The Bannockburn community can look forward to upgraded sport and recreation facilities at the much-awaited Bannockburn Heart Precinct thanks to the State Government’s $100M Community Sports Infrastructure Fund.

The State Government today announced that Golden Plains Shire is set to receive a $66,500 grant to enhance Stage 1 of the Bannockburn Heart project.

The funding will see the installation of active recreation infrastructure, including fitness equipment and play space elements, creating opportunities for individualised recreation and fitness activities for all ages.

This $66,500 complements the $1.2M of Federal Government funding already received to develop Stage 1 of the Bannockburn Heart project.
