Golden Plains Shire Council is inviting businesses from the north of the Shire to be a part of the Northern Business Network and attend the first meeting on Wednesday 3 August from 5.30 to 7.30pm in Linton.

The Northern Business Network, which will be initially supported by Council, aims to provide connection for local businesses in the north of the Shire so they have representation and a place to discuss opportunities, concerns and ideas of other businesses in the region.

Held at the Linton Railway Hotel, 73 Sussex Street, the first meeting will see businesses invited to discuss the vision for the network including the name and theme of future network events.

Business owners will also have the opportunity to explore shared issues impacting businesses in the region, brainstorm potential solutions and ideas to attract new customers, and discuss how to do business with Council.

Golden Plains Shire Council Mayor Cr Gavin Gamble says the Northern Business Network provides a fantastic opportunity for businesses from the north to come together in what has been an otherwise challenging time for business.

“Council is pleased to get behind the formation of the Northern Business Network for local businesses in the northern region of Golden Plains.

“It is very challenging time for small businesses in Golden Plains. The Northern Business Network has been developed to support businesses and our local business owners, and provide a place for businesses to share ideas, make new business connections and come together to find collaborative solutions.

“I encourage business owners in the north to attend the first meeting, and to get involved in the Northern Business Network to not only grow their own business, but to support other businesses in the region.”

For further information or to attend the meeting and be part of this network, please RSVP by 5pm, Tuesday 2 August to [email protected] or phone 5220 7102.
