Join artist, Kate Wise, and discover nature-based printing using gel plates, acrylic paints, a variety of papers, and local leaves, grasses and textures. This two-hour workshop is suitable for beginners, with all materials supplied. As you explore different printing techniques, you’ll learn about the tools you need and how to make and care for your own gel plate. You'll finish the session by creating a handmade greeting card featuring your favourite print.
Kate is a Haddon-based artist whose nature-focused mixed-media work finds homes both locally and abroad. She also enjoys sharing her practice through community workshops.
Take Part: Local Art is presented in partnership with Golden Plains Shire and the Geelong Regional Library Corporation. Running throughout the year, this free creative workshop series is led by local creatives and covers different forms and mediums of art.
