About

  • Do you feel you could be a positive influence in the lives of young people and members of your community?
  • Are you interested in improving the mental health and wellbeing experiences of boys and men?
  • Are you passionate about creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful community for everyone?
  • If yes, then the Unpacking the Man Box Workshop series might be for you!

Golden Plains Shire Council has engaged Jesuit Social Service’s The Men’s Project to deliver the Unpacking the Man Box workshop series to Golden Plains Shire community members.

This free workshop series aims to build your skills and knowledge to help you create change in our community around unhealthy expectations of masculinity, while promoting respect, equality and healthy life outcomes for boys and men.

If you live, work or volunteer in Golden Plains Shire and are in a position that role models positive behaviours within the community, we encourage you to get involved by registering to participate.

Positions within this important initiative are limited, so ensure you register your interest to secure a place. This program is an initiative of the Crime Prevention Project which is funded by a $299,000 grant from the Victorian Government’s Building Safer Communities program.
