Help shape the future of transport assets across Golden Plains Shire!
About
Council is preparing a new Transport Asset Management Plan (TAMP) to guide how we manage, maintain and renew the transport infrastructure our community relies on every day.
Transport assets include Council-managed:
- Sealed and unsealed roads
- Footpaths and shared paths
- Bridges and culverts
- Roadside drainage infrastructure
- Parking areas
- Street lighting
- Road safety infrastructure
As a large rural municipality, our transport network plays a critical role in connecting people, businesses and communities. It supports how residents travel to work, school and services, how farmers and businesses move goods, and how visitors access our townships and local destinations.
Why are we seeking feedback?
We want to understand what matters most to our community when it comes to transport infrastructure. Your feedback will help us identify:
- What is working well across the transport network
- Current challenges and areas for improvement
- Community priorities for future investment
- Expectations around the condition, safety and reliability of transport assets
Input from residents, landowners, businesses, road users and visitors will help shape the future management of transport assets across Golden Plains Shire, informing future service levels, renewal priorities and long-term investment decisions to support Council's planning and decision-making for years to come.
Whats Next?
Following the consultation period, community feedback will be considered as part of the development of the TAMP. Council will keep the community informed on its progress. Previous responses received in the preparation of the Asset Plan 2025-2035 will also guide the TAMP.
