Golden Plains Shire Council Community Awards 2020

About

About:

The Golden Plains Shire Council Community Awards 2020 are an opportunity to formally acknowledge extraordinary individuals and community groups who make an outstanding contribution to Golden Plains Shire.

This year has been a year unlike any other and Council wants to recognise local people who have supported their neighbours and communities during this difficult time. The challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic have highlighted the valuable contributions of those who, every day, help to make Golden Plains Shire a wonderful place to call home.

In 2020, there are have been remarkable stories of service to the community and Council asks all residents to thank and honour these individuals and groups with a nomination for the Golden Plains Shire Council Community Awards 2020.

The 2020 Awards will be presented to three individuals: Citizen of the Year, Senior Citizen of the Year, and Young Citizen of the Year. In addition, the Community Impact Award recognises the valuable contribution of a community event, project, group or team.

Nomination achievements are welcome in fields including community service, arts and culture, environment, business, economic development and sport.
