Golden Plains Shire Council is calling young musicians aged 12 to 25 to enter the Golden Plains Youth Battle of the Bands competition presented by the FReeZA Youth Events Crew on Saturday 26 August, 2023.
Open to all young people aged 12 to 25, the Battle of the Bands is a showcase of young up-and-coming artists, inclusive of all genres, with bands, soloists, duo performances and digital artists all welcome to register.
The youth-led event is presented by the FReeZA Youth Events Crew, with support from Council’s Youth Development Team, and is designed to support emerging musicians by providing a safe and inclusive opportunity to perform in front of a live audience.
Young musicians, bands and digital artists aged 12 to 25 across the Shire are invited to register to perform at the event which will be held at the Inverleigh Public Hall, 71 High Street, Inverleigh from 1 to 5pm on Saturday 26 August, 2023.
How You Can Be Involved:
Performers can complete the Expression of Interest from Monday 15 May to 5pm, Monday 31 July. Expressions of Interest can be made online or hard copies can be collected from Council’s Customer Hubs at 2 Pope Street, Bannockburn and 19 Heales Street, Smythesdale.
Hard copies can be returned by email to goldenplains[email protected] or by mail to Golden Plains Shire Council, PO Box 111, Bannockburn, VIC 3331 – marked ‘Battle of the Bands 2023 - Expression of Interest’.
