Child Safe Sport A workshop designed to help sporting clubs create environments where children feel safe, supported and valued. With a strong focus on protection, participants explore how to lead by example through clear commitment, visible promotion of child safety principles and positive role modelling. The session unpacks essential policies, regulations and procedures, ensuring clubs understand their responsibilities around compliance, including safe facilities, thorough recruitment and screening practices, and effective onboarding. Ongoing education is emphasised, encouraging clubs to foster a culture of regular discussion and continuous improvement in child safety. Clubs are guided on how to actively engage children, young people, parents and the wider community, building strong relationships grounded in trust. Participants learn how to promote positive behaviours, equipping adults with the knowledge and confidence to interact appropriately with children.
