At last night’s meeting, Council resolved to seek community feedback on whether Golden Plains Shire should observe the Melbourne Cup Public Holiday or an alternative local holiday for the next four years.

Golden Plains Shire Council has welcomed the recent $1.89 million announcement that the Federal and Victorian Governments will upgrade a section of Colac-Ballarat Road.
