Growing Your Volunteer Network

Growing Your Volunteer Network 2

Are you wanting more volunteers? Looking for ideas to make your community group more appealing for volunteers to be involved? Finding volunteers is tougher than it’s ever been before, so it’s time to make your group stand out from the crowd.

This session will help you to create strategies for opening your doors wider to potential volunteers. It will examine what barriers may be in place and how to eliminate these, so you can engage and welcome different groups to your network. With tips and tools for extending your reach, your group will benefit from attracting new volunteers that enhance your activities and support the vibrancy, impact and viability of your group.

Topics include:

  • Revisiting the group’s purpose
  • Understanding the benefits of being a welcoming group
  • Appreciating the variety of people in our community who may like to join their group and don’t work ‘normal’ hours
  • Exploring what can be done to be more open and flexible
  • Uncovering tools and tactics that can facilitate (and ‘open up’) opportunities
