The first Edible Gardens – Sustainability & Self-Sufficiency Workshop will be held on Wednesday 11 June from 7am to 8:30pm online via Zoom, all about composting and food waste.
Composting is a sustainable way to reduce food waste and enrich your garden. By turning kitchen scraps, like fruit and vegetable peels, coffee grounds, and eggshells, into nutrient-rich compost, you can reduce landfill waste and create natural fertilizer for your plants. Composting helps cut down on the methane emissions caused by food waste in landfills, while also providing you with healthier soil for growing your own food, ultimately saving money and supporting a more eco-friendly lifestyle.
