Golden Plains Shire Council currently has approximately 203 (full time equivalent, excluding casuals) employees working across a number of areas throughout the Shire.
The organisation is structured into three major divisions led by three Directors, reporting to the CEO.

Michael Tudball
With a wealth of experience in local government, Michael brings a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities facing rural councils. With a background across local and state government spanning more than 25 years, Michael brings experiences from across the sector in senior executive and CEO roles at Moira, Hindmarsh, Corangamite, Southern Grampians and Melton Councils. His proven track record in leading councils through periods of change aligns seamlessly with Golden Plains Shire Council's ongoing commitment to serving the needs of our community and fostering sustainable growth during this time.
During his tenure as Interim CEO, Michael will work closely with Council and across the organisation to ensure continuity in essential services, promote economic development initiatives, and maintain open lines of communication with residents, businesses and stakeholders.
