About:
Golden Plains Shire Council, in partnership with VicHealth invited young women aged 15 to 20 in Golden Plains Shire to participate in the Young Women’s Leadership Program that will run in term 3 from 12 July to 13 September, 2023.
The Young Women’s Leadership Program will explore topics such as values and beliefs, women in leadership, public speaking, healthy friendships and relationships, women’s health, sex and consent, financial independence and mental health.
In the free 10-week program, young women aged 15 to 20 will learn to develop their leadership skills, grow self-confidence and explore gendered and cultural barriers.
Engagement Update:
Expressions of Interest were open to eligible community members from Thursday 1 June to 5pm, Sunday 9 July.
What Happens Next:
Eligible community members who enrolled to be part of the program will be notified of session details.
