Join Council in recognising and honouring the exceptional members of our communities who make Golden Plains Shire a special place to live.
About
The Golden Plains Shire Council Community Awards 2021 are an opportunity to formally acknowledge extraordinary individuals and community groups who make an outstanding contribution to Golden Plains Shire.
This year, the continued challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic have highlighted the valuable contributions of those who, every day, help to make Golden Plains Shire a special place to live. Council wants to recognise local people who have supported their neighbours and communities throughout 2021 and showcase their remarkable stories of service to the community.
Council encourages all residents to thank and honour these individuals and groups with a nomination for the Golden Plains Shire Council Community Awards 2021.
The 2021 Awards will be presented to three individuals: Citizen of the Year, Senior Citizen of the Year, and Young Citizen of the Year. In addition, the Community Impact Award recognises the valuable contribution of a community event, project, group or team.
Nomination achievements are welcome in fields including community service, arts and culture, environment, business, economic development and sport.
