2016 FReeZA Push Start Battle of the Bands

A band at FReeZA

The FReeZa Push Start Battle of the Bands competition showcases young musicians from around Victoria, giving them the opportunity to perform, gain local exposure, and win their way to a spot in the Push Over Grand Final line up. There's also a bunch of cool prizes that can be won from the generous sponsors.

The FReeZA Push Start competition is open to any style of music, including bands, soloists, duos, hip hop artists, electronic acts, acoustic acts, etc. It is of most benefit to artists performing original material.

About the FReeZA Program

Our Youth Team supports young people to organise events. Events may include music festivals, battle of the bands, movie nights, skate and bmx competitions and much more.

FReeZA also provides workshop and training opportunities in things like stage presence, event review writing, song writing, and how to manage your own band. We offer transport to these events so that young people throughout the Shire can come along.

The FReeZA program provides important performance opportunities for young local musicians and emerging artists to showcase their talents and plan their career in music, entertainment or the performing arts.  FReeZA takes a ‘by youth, for youth’ approach.
