On Saturday 13 October, the Bannockburn Bush parkrun held its one year anniversary event, where close to 150 people either ran, volunteered, jogged, walked the course, or cheered the participants on. 14 of the participants were first-time attendees and 21 recorded new personal bests!
Bannockburn Bush parkrun started on 14 October 2017, following a successful Council Community Grant application and a year of dedicated community members sourcing a suitable site and generating community interest. Since then, 572 participants have completed 3,242 parkruns covering a total distance of 16,210 kilometres, including 666 new personal bests. This is a great achievement in helping the members of the community to be physically active!
