Applications are still open for the Western Bulldogs Leadership Project, an innovative program for Year 9 and 10 students willing to challenge themselves, eager to learn and wanting to contribute to their community.

Golden Plains Shire Council representatives including Councillor Gilbert met with Western Bulldogs players and staff this week to discuss the program.

We have already received significant interest in the Project. With just over a week left to apply, there are five places for Golden Plains young people remaining.

Candidates need not excel athletically or play sport to be considered. The program is designed for self-motivated young people with the potential to become future leaders in their community.

This free program will be delivered between March and September on a Thursday evening in Bannockburn and Smythesdale from 4:30pm – 7:30pm. Transport to these venues can be provided for those who need it.

Nominations close Friday 3 March.
