Golden Plains Shire Council’s website has experienced periodic outages over the past three days. On the weekend, Council’s website security system detected unusual behaviour from an outside source trying to access the site. Council confirms that no personal information or data has been accessed or compromised as the website is hosted externally and does not connect to any data held by Council.
To test and upgrade additional security measures, Council’s website has experienced short outages, with full operation to be restored as soon as possible. Council thanks its Information and Communication Technology staff team who have worked hard over the weekend to restore the website access.
