Inverleigh
Five aged Cypress trees on the Hamilton Highway in Inverleigh will be removed this week.
These trees are at risk of limb drop and are unsafe, so immediate removal has been recommended by an independent arborist. Safety signs will be posted onsite and motorists and pedestrians are advised to slow down and follow directives. Works are scheduled for completion on Friday 3 July.
A Cypress Trees and Replacement Strategy for the Inverleigh Avenue of Significance is planned to be undertaken in the next 12 months. The Draft Strategy will be subject to community consultation.
The trees that are scheduled to be removed are numbered 13, 14, 15, 17 and 18 on the diagram below.
