Step into Swing fit

Child & Family Services

Council has teamed up with Leisure networks, Golf Australia and the Bannockburn Golf Club to offer ‘Swing Fit’ in Bannockburn. This free program, which is part of Council’s Healthy Families program, involves a social catch-up across five weekly sessions, where parents and carers can connect with one another whilst learning about golf.

Swing Fit is all about building social connections in a safe and fun environment that encourages participants to get physically active.

Sessions will be held at the Bannockburn Football and Netball Club on the back oval starting Monday 15 October at 10.15am and will run weekly until 12 November. Each session will run for around one hour. A professional golfer will be facilitating the program, so participants are set to learn a great deal about this popular sport.

Parenting requires a great deal of love and effort, and can often take parents and carers away from regular exercise and the social aspects of life, which makes Swing Fit a great opportunity for local families.

The environment is baby-friendly, so parents are welcome to bring their children (note: all children are the responsibility of parents). All equipment is provided for participants.

There is no cost to join in, but bookings are essential; please refer interested parents to this link to register. For further details, please email [email protected].
