Respect Women - Call it Out

General

Golden Plains Shire Council is proud to support Respect Victoria’s ‘Respect Women – Call It Out’ campaign during the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence.

The 16 Days of Activism is an annual global initiative that begins today, and runs until 10 December.

Respect Victoria’s campaign encourages people to call out sexism, sexual harassment and disrespect towards women.

The Municipal Association of Victoria provided all Victorian councils, including Golden Plains Shire Council, with $1,500 funding to support the campaign. Golden Plains Shire Council is conducting a number of initiatives, including a social media campaign featuring local identities encouraging the community to become active bystanders and call out disrespect towards women.
