Pop-Up Bar & Cafe To Be Located At Turtle Bend

Business & Economic Development
Teesdale

A local Bannockburn wedding and event hire company will launch a licensed pop-up bar and café in Teesdale this summer.

Teesdale Turtle Bend Reserve will host outdoor dining this summer, as Bannockburn company Elderevents Group launch its new bar and café offering. Utilising modified shipping containers, Elder Bar and Eats will showcase local Golden Plains wine and produce, as well as local artists.

The uniquely designed shipping containers will act as an outdoor dining and al fresco venue and have been fitted out with kitchen and bar facilities to bring local food and wine to the Golden Plains in a new and COVID-safe environment.

Working with the Department of Water, Land & Planning, Golden Plains Shire Council and the Turtle Bend Committee of Management, the pop-up offering is a reflection of the innovative plans of local businesses to keep operating in the challenging COVID environment.

This holiday season, Council encourages residents to buy local and keep money in our local economy, as it continues to support our local businesses through the pandemic and working toward a strong economic recovery in 2021

Elder Bar and Eats will operate at the Turtle Bend Reserve from December 11 for a period of three months. The venue will be open 9am to 9pm, Thursday to Sunday and will also offer breakfast on Friday, Saturday and Sunday mornings. Some extended hours will be available during the Christmas and New Year period for those wanting to make the most of the break. Bookings may be made online at www.eldereventsgroup.com.au or for bookings of 10+ people, call 5218 1150 and leave a message.
