Council is looking forward to welcoming market-goers and stallholders back to the Golden Plains Farmers’ Market in a COVIDSafe manner this weekend.

After a three-month hiatus due to the COVID-19 lockdowns and uncertainty over restrictions, community members will be able to shop from more than 40 stallholders from 8.30am to 12.30pm on Saturday 2 October.

Located at the Bannockburn Heart, the Golden Plains Farmers’ Market is a genuine growers and makers market, and features a fantastic range of local grown, farm-fresh and homemade foods as well as unique art, homewares and eco-friendly products.

The market will operate in line with the Victorian Government’s COVIDSafe guidelines to ensure health and safety of market-goers and stallholders. All market-goers will need to scan in using a QR-code at one of the three entry points, wear a face mask and practice 1.5m physical distancing. Manual registration will also be available for market-goers unable to scan a QR-code, and hand sanitiser will be available at all entry and exit points, along with at stalls.

Please note that due to restrictions, visitors from locked down areas in metropolitan Melbourne, Mitchell Shire, Latrobe City and Moorabool Shire are unable to attend, however, Council hopes to be able to welcome them back to the market some time soon.
