New Golden Plains Shire Council To Be Sworn In

Following last week’s declaration of the Golden Plains Shire Council election results, the seven councillors-elect will be sworn in on Saturday, 14 November.

The Oath/Affirmation of Office ceremony will take place at the Golden Plains Civic Centre from 10am, and will be livestreamed on Council’s YouTube page. In accordance with the Victorian Government’s COVID-19 directives, the ceremony will be closed to in-person public attendance.

CEREMONY LIVESTREAM

Next week, Councillors will elect the Mayor and Deputy Mayor for the 2020/21 term at the Council Meeting being specifically held for the Mayoral Election. The meeting will take place at the Golden Plains Civic Centre on Tuesday 17 November, 2020 from 6pm, and will also be livestreamed on Council’s YouTube page. In accordance with the Victorian Government’s COVID-19 directives, the ceremony will be closed to in-person public attendance.

The agenda for the Mayoral Election Meeting will be available on Council’s website on Friday 13 November, 2020. A link to the livestream will be available from Council’s website.
