National Tree Day - 29 July 2018

Environment

Council supported National Tree Day on 29 July by providing plants and tree guards to keen locals at two public reserve sites.

600 trees and shrubs were planted by the Batesford, Fyansford, Stonehaven Landcare Group, Grovedale Scouts and locals at Red Gum Reserve in Batesford.

The Leigh District Landcare planted 150 trees and shrubs on the Leigh River, south of Inverleigh. The plantings continue the ongoing efforts to revegetate these two important reserves.
