Join the MEMPC

General

The Golden Plains Shire Municipal Emergency Management Planning Committee (MEMPC) is seeking a community member to represent locals on the group.

The MEMPC includes representatives from the Emergency Management agencies servicing Golden Plains Shire, including the Country Fire Authority, Ambulance Victoria, Victoria Police, Fire Rescue Victoria, VICSES, Department of Families, Fairness and Housing, and the Red Cross, as well as Council. By joining the MEMPC as a community representative, applicants will be involved in the planning and development of the Municipal Emergency Management Plan for Golden Plains Shire.

Locals who are passionate about their community and want to be involved in the development and implementation of strategies to ensure community safety during emergency events, are encouraged to apply.

The ideal applicant will have an understanding of the Victorian Emergency Management arrangements, have strong community links, and be prepared to attend a minimum of two meetings each year. The MEMPC often use Microsoft Teams to communicate, and applicants will need to be able to use a computer.

Being an active member or employee of an Emergency Management agency does not preclude applicants from applying, however, they will be representing the Golden Plains Shire community, not their agency on the committee.

To apply, download the nomination form below and return it by email to [email protected] or mail to:

Applications close at 5pm, Thursday 8 April, 2021.
