Golden Plains Shire Council was proud to celebrate International Women’s Day this year with a special social media campaign featuring some of our most impressive residents.

Short one-minute videos featuring women from Teesdale, Meredith, Maude, Shelford, Linton, Inverleigh, Batesford and Bannockburn were published on Council’s Facebook and Twitter accounts in the lead up to International Women’s Day and gained thousands of views online.

A final compilation video, discussing this year’s #BalanceforBetter campaign, was released on Council’s social media channels on International Women’s Day, Friday 8 March 2019.

View the video below.

Council will also recognise International Women’s Day at the Ordinary Meeting on Tuesday 26 March with a certificate presentation.
