Cambrian Hill Bore Update

News
Cambrian Hill

In October, Council was informed of structural damage and safety defects at the Heinzs Road Bore in Cambrian Hill. Following an audit, the bore and tank were closed for safety reasons, pending a decision on replacing the bore or exploring other options.

As part of this process, Council is undertaking community engagement with the Napoleons, Ross Creek and Cambrian Hill community on the future of the bore. Residents in the area will shortly receive a letter requesting their feedback and needs of this piece of infrastructure.

With the Fire Danger Period approaching, residents relying on this water as part of their fire plan, will be able to fill up their fire trailers for free at the Dereel Standpipe between 9am and 3pm on Thursday 17 December 2020.

Should you wish to discuss your water options, please call Council’s Municipal Fire Prevention Officer at 5220 7111.
