Businesses and community to benefit from Golden Plains Localised
Residents are now positioned better than ever to support local, hardworking businesses thanks to Golden Plains Localised, Council’s new online business network.
An innovative network for local business people, Golden Plains Localised provides a great opportunity for business owners to gain exposure and build networks. As local businesses sign up with Localised (which is FREE!), the software generates a directory of Golden Plains business listings to help local people find the goods and services they are looking for!
As it is only early days, the directory of local businesses has room to grow, but in time, Golden Plains Shire residents will have their own ‘yellow pages’ of local businesses. All you have to do is type in your suburb and/or a keyword and Localised will generate a list of suitable businesses (businesses need to register to appear in the directory).
More than 80% of local businesses want to support other local businesses, but less than half of them actually do. We know our residents want to back local businesses too – supporting each other is a big part of our close knit communities. The challenge has been finding a local business that offers the specific product or services you seek, but this is exactly why Council has partnered with the Bannockburn Chamber of Commerce and Localised to deliver Golden Plains Localised.
What’s in it for businesses?
This free digital network will help local businesses to:
- Advertise their goods and services locally
- Engage with other businesses to get local quotes
- Discover regional networking and professional development events.
If you run a business in Golden Plains, make sure you sign up to Golden Plains Localised to reap the benefits! If you are a resident, feel free to let your favourite businesses know about this opportunity. The more businesses who sign up with Localised, the bigger and better our directory of business listings will be for all.
Council’s goal with Localised is to help businesses to thrive and provide a simple way for residents to connect with local businesses that offer goods and services they are looking for.
