The Bannockburn Heart's basketball hoop was installed this morning, and Mayor Cr Helena Kirby, Deputy Mayor Cr Ian Getsom, Cr Clayton Whitfield and Cr Brett Cunningham joined local kids to mark the occasion.
The basketball hoop will help keep the popular site active over winter following the end of the splash pad season, which concluded at 8pm, Sautrday 10 April. The adventure playground, active recreation equipment, public toilets, seating and BBQs, and the new outdoor dining area will also remain open for the community to enjoy.
The Water Play Space will reopen in summer, with residents encouraged to keep an eye on this website, Council's social media channels, the Gazette and Council News in the Golden Plains Times later in the year for details on the reopening date.
