Council is developing a new Arts, Culture and Heritage Strategy, and is running seven workshops next week for community members to help be part of the process.
The workshops are a valuable opportunity for Council to hear in more detail what community members want from its Arts, Culture and Heritage Strategy.
There are Arts, Culture and Heritage Strategy workshops on the following dates:
Tuesday 15 June
6.30 to 8pm: Online Zoom Workshop Theme: Creative Communities
Wednesday 16 June
10am to 12pm: Meredith History Centre, 31 Staughton Street, Meredith. Theme: History
2 to 4pm: Kate Wise Artist Studio, 32 Kent Drive, Haddon. Theme: Creative Industry
Thursday 17 June
10am to 12pm: Rokewood Memorial Hall, Ferrars Street, Rokewood. Theme: Creative Communities
Please note this is a change of venue from Dereel due to COVID-19 restrictions.
1.30 to 3.30pm: Thru the Gate Café, 42 Brooke Street, Smythesdale. Theme: Festivals and Events
5.30 to 7.30pm: Bannockburn Cultural Centre, 27 High Street, Bannockburn. Theme: Creative Communities
Friday 18 June
10 to 11.30am: Online Zoom Workshop. Theme: Creative Communities

Space in the workshops is limited and registration is essential. To register workshop attendance, click on the links above or call 5220 7109.
There will also be informal coffee consultations with Council’s Arts & Culture Advisor at Inverleigh, Rokewood, Maude and Linton in the week from 21 to 25 June, with locations and times to be confirmed.
If you can’t attend the workshops, the Arts, Culture and Heritage survey is still open until next Wednesday, 16 June. The survey can be completed online here or by collecting a paper copy from a Council Customer Service Centre in Bannockburn or Smythesdale.
