Golden Plains Careers Expo

Golden Plains Careers Expo

Young people from across the Shire are invited to attend the inaugural Golden Plains Careers Expo at the Bannockburn Cultural Centre on Saturday 24 June 2023 from 10am until 3pm.

Connecting young people to their dream career, the Golden Plains Careers Expo aims to advance the learning and employment outcomes for young people in Golden Plains.

Young people will have the opportunity to chat with a diversity of education and work pathways and speak to industry professionals attached to universities, skills and training institutions and local industry and employers.

Presented by Golden Plains Shire Mayor Cr Brett Cunningham, special guest speakers will take part in a panel discussion where they will provide insight into specific career pathways and share their experience.

The Bannockburn Library will also have extended hours for the duration of the event, with staff demonstrating some e-resources for career development.

The Expo will also provide young people an opportunity to engage with Council's Youth Development Team and register for skills and work training on offer.
