Ross Creek Recreation Reserve Masterplan Update

Ross Creek Recreation Reserve Masterplan Update

About

The proposed Ross Creek Recreation Reserve Masterplan Update (the Masterplan update) was placed on public exhibition to ensure the Masterplan update appropriately reflects current facility provisions at the reserve and to capture future participation opportunities and identify the demand for future facility improvements.

In 2015, a Masterplan was developed for the Ross Creek Recreation Reserve to guide the future development and improvement of the reserve.

Golden Plains Shire has sought to refresh and update the pre-existing Master Plan to ensure it reflects and responds to the changing needs of the user groups and broader community.

The Masterplan update addresses functional issues with the existing landscape (such as playing areas, drainage, connections and safe pedestrian and vehicle movement) with a strong focus on multi-use and fit-for-purpose recreation facilities to encourage greater participation and community use of the reserve.

The Masterplan Update has been informed by and tested with the reserve Committee of Management, Community Coordinators and tenant clubs and aligns with Council’s vision for sport and active recreation and ensures that the long-term development aspirations of the tenant clubs, community groups and residents are taken into consideration.

Engagement Update

Residents of Ross Creek and surrounding communities were invited to have their say on the proposed Ross Creek Recreation Reserve Masterplan Update from Wednesday 3 May until 5pm, Wednesday 31 May 2023.
