About the Engagement

Thank you to all community members who shared their thoughts and ideas during the first stage of the Bannockburn Skate Park upgrade. Throughout this process, residents highlighted the need for a skate bowl.

Following a funding application, Council was successful in securing $805,000 in funding from the Victorian State Government in October 2022. Concept design work was undertaken and community members were invited to view and provide feedback in April and May 2023.

Feedback from community consultation has been utilised by Council to inform the development of the detailed design which has recently been completed.

The second stage of the Bannockburn Skate Park upgrade project will extend the current skate park to cater to intermediate and advanced skaters, while providing a space for young people in the Shire to stay active, healthy and engaged.

Along with the skate bowl, the detailed design also includes supporting infrastructure such as lighting, furniture, landscaping and a shelter.
