About

Council is seeking volunteer community members to join the Berrybank Wind Farm Community Grants Committee. Expressions of interest to join the committee are open from Friday 3 June to 5pm, Monday 4 July.

Berrybank Developments Pty Ltd has established a Community Enhancement Fund (the Fund) which will provide grants to community groups and individuals to support local beneficial projects in Golden Plains.

Golden Plains Shire Council must establish a committee to provide advice on the criteria for awarding community grants, to evaluate applications from the public, and to make recommendations to Council on which local projects will be supported by the Fund.

The five-member Berrybank Wind Farm Golden Plains Community Grants Committee will be made up of representatives of the Company (1), Golden Plains Shire Council (2) and members of the community (2).

Council is now seeking two volunteer Golden Plains Shire residents to join the Fund for a three year term.

Engagement Update

Golden Plains Shire residents were invited to nominate themselves for the Berrybank Wind Farm Community Grants Committee by completing the Expression of Interest form, outlining their connection to local communities, relevant experience and attributes they will bring to the Committee.

The expression of interest was open from Friday 3 June to 5pm, Monday 4 July.

What happens next
