The Northern Streetscapes Project will deliver beautification upgrades to enhance the character of the three town centres that form the northern corridor of Golden Plains Shire: Scarsdale, Smythesdale and Linton.
A broad range of upgrades are proposed in the draft designs, alongside a number of smaller scale changes for the streetscapes of each township. Potential upgrades and changes highlighted in the concept designs include increasing accessible street crossing areas, modification of parking arrangements, installation of public art features and town banners, street tree succession planning, planting of additional roadside vegetation and road safety improvements.
In-person engagement sessions will be held on Saturday 27 November and all residents are welcome to stop by and share their thoughts on the Northern Streetscapes Project:
- 9am to 10am: Scarsdale General Store
- 10:30am to 11:30am: The Well in Smythesdale
- 12pm to 1pm: Linton Shire Hall
